There’s something about opening title sequences that really set the mood of a movie. Title sequences have evolved over the years into its own art form. I’m sure some people don’t realize the treat they’re getting compared to how title sequences were made back in the day.

The peeps at Art of the Title have chosen a selection of their favourite titles sequences. I, myself is still a fan of and is still amazed at the “Game of Thrones” title sequence. One word: Epic.

Here’s a style which I really enjoy. Character designer from Poland who goes by the alias, Akuma101, creates funny and cheerful characters. Highly influenced by Japanese culture, he’s been able to take his artistic ability to the next level after spending his 6-month art scholarship in North Wales School of Art and Design.

I don’t usually visit deviantart too often, but I came across one of the members’ pages. Sally Dullaway is an artist from Sweden, who has recently started a business in restoring and colourizing old black and white photos. Looking at her work, you can see why she decided to pursue this further. I’ve seen a lot of colour correction work, but not a lot of colourizing of black and white photos, so I have to say I’m very impressed with Sally’s work especially since I don’t see a lot of this.

Here is the design for the upcoming 54th Grammy’s titled, ‘We Are Music’. Epic, yet classy; I really like it. This design was a collaboration from HelloColor! along with TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles.

Now not only am I excited to see the Grammy’s for the performances, but now we’ll see how this will translate on tv.

Some of you young peeps may think that was lame, but I’ve had my share of partying. Not to say I don’t like partying anymore, but I liked the change this year. I still hope to be in a foreign country one new year’s eve someday. In the meantime, I’ll enjoy it with friends or family.

In regards to new year’s resolutions, we went around the table to see if each of us had one; everyone did, and everyone different. My main resolution is to all-in-all be healthy. I think my wife and I do pretty well with our eating habits; a little treat twice a week or so. Overall, we don’t go overboard and control how much greasy food and sweets we take in. We never deprive ourselves with that kind of food; who would want to if you enjoy the stuff?

One specific goal I intend to try is completing the P90X! Sure it looks hard as hell, but we’ll just have to wait and see won’t we. No, I won’t get discouraged if it gets too difficult and give up because I’ll still exercise my usual routine.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year! May the new year and the years ahead of us bring us all more happiness and prosperity. May we strive to improve on all aspects of life; attitude, health, and love. There’s always room for improvement.

SuperUber brings Super Pong to The Creators Project festival, in DUMBO, New York. Displayed for the first time at the exhibition Pelé Station, during the 2006 World Cup in Berlin, Germany, Super Pong is a game-installation inspired by Pong and Foosball, where up to 8 people can play. All the primary elements are present in this minimalist game: competitiveness, adrenaline, precision, and coordination. When you score a goal, you watch an animation inspired by Pele’s famous moves. Super Pong doesn’t need instructions, it’s simple and straightforward – it brings the minimalist aesthetics of classic video games to the contemporary audience.
